Activities for Dementia Action Week 2021

17 - 23 May 2021

What is Dementia Action Week?

Led by Alzheimer’s Society, Dementia Action Week is a national event that sees the public coming together to take action to improve the lives of people affected by dementia.

When is Dementia Action Week this year?

Dementia Action Week will take place this year on 17 – 23 May 2021.

Why get involved?

34.5 million of us know someone living with dementia in the UK.   There are over 2500 people living with dementia in the London Borough of Sutton based on national figures.   We have over 150 residents living with dementia in our neighbourhood (Sutton Central Ward).

Dementia can be hugely isolating for both the person with dementia and their carer.    We  strive to promote social inclusion and community cohesion through staging fun events and activities for the people of the Sutton New Town area.
