Community Carols in Aid of the Mayor's Charities

Community Carols in Aid of the Mayor's Charities

Christmas is coming to Sutton New Town and Manor Park.

On Saturday 3rd December 2022

the Manor Park Christmas Tree will be switched on.

We are delighted to be working with the Manor Park Friends Group and the Friends of Manor Park Primary Academy to bring you a very special experience with music, singing and a visit from Father Christmas.

Come and join your neighbours for this wonderful start to the Christmas season. We will sing best-loved carols and Christmas songs that everyone can enjoy.

There will be mince pies and hot drinks to make the evening special. Come and experience a joyous start of Christmas and help us raise money for the Mayor's Charities.

Community Christmas Tree Switch-on

Christmas come to Sutton New Town and Manor Park on Saturday 3rd December 2022 when the Manor Park Christmas Tree was switched on.    We were delighted to work with the Manor Park Friends Group and the Friends of Manor Park Primary Academy to bring our neighbours a very special experience with music, singing and a visit from Father Christmas.

Community Carolling

It was wonderful to welcome 80 or so grown-ups and children into the tiny Welsh Chapel on Lind Road on Thursday 8th December. Together we raised £250 for the Mayor of Sutton's Charity Appeal.   Thank you to the Minister, elders and congregation of the Chapel for hosting us, and for the beautiful singing from the children who started the carolling.  We heard 4 languages with carols sung in Cantonese, Welsh, Latin and English.  It was wonderful to welcome Shenanigans (a ladies' Barbershop Quartet), the Choir of the Sutton HongKongers’ Fellowship and members of the Welsh congregation.  The organ was played by Cllr Christopher Woolmer and it was a joyful start to the Christmas season.
